When I meet with a couple over coffee, or tea :-) for a bridal consultation, one of the first things we chat about is who they are. I want to know their love story; how they met, their likes, dislikes, and hear all about their wedding day details. This gives me the chance to learn more about the couples style, which allows me to capture the essence of who they are. Then I like to dive into everything engagement photos.
Engagement session are my favorite. I really get to interact with my clients on a personal level, and my couples get the essence of how we'll work together on their big day. It's always a good time. My style of photographing my couples is in a natural, fun, and close manor. During our coffee chat we'll discuss activities and locations that are special to the couple. This helps me offer engagement suggestions that will match the couples style and showcases their personalities.
Teri, Larry and I meet in Baltimore's Harbor East for a simple stroll on Baltimore harbor's shore side. It was a sunny but chilly morning. Teri and Larry choose to have a simple and quite session. The two walked the promenade enjoying some quality time as they both work fast paced jobs with different schedules. The two like traveling together and enjoy spending time together. Larry is laid back and like gardening, and Teri loves to take trips to Assateague Island on Maryland's eastern coast of Delmarva on her days off to read and relax. One special detail was the beautiful engagement ring Larry had custom made for Teri. (I love unique rings) Larry cracked jokes that kept Teri smiling the whole morning. Later we decided to head over to Starbucks to warm up with coffee and hot chocolate. We ended the day with some fun and candid shots of them in one of my favorite Baltimore neighborhoods, Fells point. Their engagement session fit them perfectly. Larry and Teri will wed on August 12, at The Oaks Waterfront Inn. I am so excited for this romantic and intimate wedding.
