36 Hours in New York City

So summer is coming to an end. It's that time where people are taking their end of summer vacations before transitioning into the fall, or sending the kiddos back to school. (This momma is counting down the days!) Ha! Back in May I decided to take a few weeks off to spend time with my family and friends. I also made it a point to do more of what I loved which was travel.

My good friend Kat of Kutlery by Kat and I decided to plan a mini 36 hour vacation to the big city. New York Tripping in Manhattan.

With only 36 hours in the big apple, we had it all planned out as how we were going to take over the city. Art, food, nightlife, and site seeing was  apart of the plan. Definitely ran into some road bumps but I've learned that plans never run smoothly. You just have to keep moving and adapt.

Let me just say that it has always been my dream to live is Soho Manhattan. Out of all the places in the world, Yes! I love NYC. All my favorite shows have been taped there (Sex in the City, Friends, and Law and Order that's just a few), it's filled with so much art and culture (a melting pot of amazing people), landscape and architecture heaven. Oh, if you did not know I love snapping photos of city life and buildings. Also, the food people...... I love to try new foods and there is something new around every corner.

First, if your going to visit NYC you can't just stay anywhere. We went all out and stayed at the amazing HYATT CENTRIC TIMES SQUARE NEW YORK. In the heart of tourist center the Hyatt Centric provided us with an great location, view, and was within distance of everything we wanted to do.

We got to the city early and had time to kill prior to checking in. So here's how we spent 36 hours NYC tripping.

Ended the night with dinner at Dutch Freds. Where we the food was so... good, unique cocktails, and a chill Saturday night atmosphere. (Took a break from pic taking. A great excuse to go back).

Day Two - Podcasting with Jessica from "Jess Wants to Know” “the professional conversationalist.” Kat will be featured on episode 2. Everything from passion, food, and attending a PWC vs. a HBCU and African American Culture. Jess is doing amazing things.
