The morning dew was thick and the air smelled of fresh rain. Quiet whispers of wind brushed passed me on an early Sunday morning. I had just arrived to meet Brian and Christine for their engagement session. These two beautiful people are saying "I do," next April.
Brian and Christine meet back in high school and at first they were friends. After a brief period their friendship turned into a blossoming relationship. They decided to have their engagement session at the National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland. This was the place of their first date and where Brian proposed to Christine. Romance was in the air. Brian looked at Christine the way all girls want to be looked at. He pulled her close as to never let her go. They shared soft kisses, laughter, and tender embraces. They are truly in love and perfect for each other.
The proposal. Brian had planned a romantic night on the water front of the Potomac River to pop the big question. Christine had told me that she knew something was up but couldn't figure out what, and Brian wasn't dropping any hints. After dinner they decided to take a stroll. Brain said that he had a gift (earrings) for Christine. As they continued to walk, Christine kept asking about the earrings as she was excited to see them. Secretly, Brian was looking for a special place to take that bold step and get down on one knee. They finally ended up taking a ride on the ferris wheel. A beautiful view of the National Harbor and the perfect spot. After a few minutes Brian began to tell Christine how he felt, reached in his pocket, got down on bended knee, and asked Christine "will you marry me?" The rest was history. The perfect end to a perfect night.
The big day is April the 22nd at Rose Hill Manor in Leesburgh VA. A beautiful and elegant affair it will be. I could not be more happier for them both as they celebrate and become husband and wife. I asked them how they want to feel at the end of their wedding and they said "happy, relaxed, free, and loved." :-) Surrounded by family and close friends.... so they shell be. Here's to you both and I can't wait to capture the magic that is you. Congratulations! Catch their engagement highlight video below.
